A group of students protested after finding a 'razor blade' in the food served in the hostel mess of Osmania University, Hyderabad. This incident happened on Tuesday night. After finding the blade, the angry students started protesting at the main gate of the university with vegetable utensils and plates.

Insects were found in the vegetables two days ago

Students of the 'New Godavari' hostel gathered on the campus on Tuesday night and demanded justice. They demanded that the Vice Chancellor of the University address their concerns on this issue. The students said that a 'razor blade' was found in the food served at night in the hostel mess. The students said that insects were found in the cabbage vegetable two days ago. Despite complaining, no concrete action is being taken in this regard.

Students have to serve their own food

The students alleged that the staff is not working according to the mess timings. Due to this, the students have to serve themselves at night. They pay Rs 2,500-3,000 every month for the poor quality food served in the hostel mess. Despite demanding a solution from the university administration, the problem remains the same.

Pieces of broken bangles and threads have also been found

Meanwhile, a leader of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) alleged that insects, pieces of broken bangles and threads have been found in the food served to the students. He said that the canteen staff had earlier assured the students that such incidents would not happen again but the problem persists. He alleged that despite repeated complaints, the university authorities have not taken any concrete action.
