New Delhi: An under-construction building has collapsed in Bengaluru amid heavy rains. 20 workers are feared trapped under the debris. One of them died, 14 were rescued and 5 are still missing. The incident took place in Horamavu Agara area of ​​Bengaluru East and emergency services have reached the spot to search for the workers. 

Two rescue vans of the fire and emergency department have been deployed for rescue work. Officials have given information about this incident. They said that this incident happened at a time when it is raining heavily in the city.

A senior police official said, "17 people are feared trapped inside the building and rescue operations are underway in a coordinated effort with the help of other agencies." A fire department official said that according to preliminary investigation, the entire building collapsed, leaving people trapped underneath.

Bengaluru has been receiving continuous heavy rainfall for the last three days. Due to flooding in many areas, five teams of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed on Tuesday to rescue people stranded in the city.
