Kerry: The war between Israel and Gaza is not coming to an end. On Sunday, 28 people, including four young children, were killed in overnight Israeli attacks in Gaza. Local health officials gave this information. Palestinian health officials have given this information. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken again emphasized the ongoing ceasefire talks between the two countries. Antony Blinken left for West Asia on Sunday with the aim of getting a ceasefire agreement.

Blinken is making his 10th visit to the region since the fighting began just days after the United States made proposals that mediating countries believe will bridge the gap between the warring sides. The urgency to reach a ceasefire agreement has increased amid fears of escalation of regional tensions.  

Will Israel end the war?

In Israel, Blinken is expected to meet the Israeli prime minister and other senior officials. Netanyahu's office said in a statement on Saturday that there is "cautious optimism" that an agreement can be reached and US officials are also positive, further cautioning that there is still work to be done. However, Hamas said the optimistic US comments were "deceptive" and accused Netanyahu of creating new conditions in an attempt to "blow up" the talks. Let us tell you that Hamas wants a ceasefire agreement to end the war, while Israel wants a temporary pause.

Iran has threatened to retaliate against Israel after the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31. Ten months after the war began, Palestinians in Gaza are living in constant desperation to find a safe place.

8 people of the same family died

The children and their mother were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the central city of Deir al-Balah, health officials said. The dead included eight members of the same family. A woman and her six children were killed in the attack. The Israeli military said it destroyed rocket launchers used to attack Israel from the southern city of Khan Younis, the site of intense fighting in recent weeks, killing 20 Palestinian fighters.
