The latest negotiations in Cairo on Gaza ceasefire and release of hostages ended on Sunday without any result. A US official said that lower-level talks will continue in the coming days. Efforts will be made to resolve the points on which there are differences.

Mossad chief David Barneva involved

On the condition of anonymity, the US official said that the team is in Cairo to try and reach an agreement. Where, mediators from the US, Qatar and Egypt are working on the differences. The official said that the talks were positive and all parties are trying to reach a final agreement. The negotiators included CIA director William Burns and the head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, David Barneva.

Israeli pressure on Gaza

The Israeli army has issued new orders to evacuate Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip. Due to this, people are evacuating their homes. As the Israeli army is getting closer, one of the last working hospitals in Gaza, Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, is becoming empty.

Lebanon residents get partial relief

On the other hand, Lebanon residents got partial relief on Monday after Israel and Hezbollah retaliated against each other on Sunday. However, people are afraid of the possibility of the conflict between the two intensifying. Meanwhile, the European Union naval command said on Monday that a Greek-flagged tanker repeatedly attacked by Yemen's Houthi rebels in the Red Sea is on fire, but there has been no major oil spill in the waterway.
