India on Sunday assured Nepal that it would help rebuild infrastructure in Nepal that was damaged during violent anti-government protests by youth this month, if requested. The assurance was given by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava during a meeting with Nepal's Energy Minister Kulman Ghising.

According to sources, Indian Ambassador Srivastava told Ghising that "if Nepal requests, India is ready to help rebuild various structures damaged during the protests by the 'Gen Z' group." According to sources, bilateral cooperation on energy and water resources and the progress of various projects were reviewed during the meeting.
Direct flights from Nepal to China announced
Nepal is also working to deepen its relations with China. Nepal has announced the launch of direct flights to Guangzhou, China. The first flight is scheduled for Thursday and the second for September 28th. According to reports, this step is aimed at increasing closeness between the two countries and promoting trade and tourism. The one-way fare for the flight from Kathmandu to Guangzhou is 30,000 Nepalese rupees, and the return fare is 50,000 Nepalese rupees.
