The White House press briefing following the swearing-in of Dr Mehmet Oz as Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator was abruptly cut short on Friday due to a medical emergency involving a little girl.

The incident happened in the Oval Office shortly after Oz was sworn in. When President Donald Trump was answering questions from reporters, White House staff interrupted it. They told reporters to leave right now. This created confusion in the room. The girl who fainted has been identified as Mehmet Oz's 11-year-old granddaughter Filomena.

Trump went to the child to check on her. A White House official said that a small member of the family fainted during Dr. Oz's swearing-in ceremony in the Oval Office. We are happy to say that he is fine. Oz was sworn in by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. After taking the oath, Oz said that I want to thank President Trump and Secretary Kennedy for trusting my ability.
