News Topical, Digital Desk : The ongoing military conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran in Lahore, Pakistan, has sent global oil prices skyrocketing. This has also led to a sharp increase in petrol and LPG prices in Pakistan.
The price of petrol has reached Rs 458 per litre and diesel Rs 520 per litre, while the price of LPG cylinder has also increased by hundreds of rupees.
Auto rickshaw drivers affected by inflation
Autorickshaw drivers, whose livelihoods depend directly on fuel, are among the hardest hit by this inflation. Hundreds of autorickshaw drivers, along with members of the Awami Rickshaw Union, staged a massive protest in Lahore.
The protesters demanded the government immediately reduce fuel prices, stop black marketing, and mitigate the impact on their incomes. Drivers say rising inflation has nearly wiped out their earnings, and the general public is also suffering.
