News Topical, Digital Desk : A ceasefire was declared between the US and Iran on the night of Tuesday, April 7. But not even a day has passed, and the US military has warned of another war against Iran.
A senior US official says the US military is ready to resume hostilities if Iran does not adhere to the ceasefire.
Trump has described the ongoing war between Israel and Lebanon as separate from the war between the US and Iran. He has also stated that Lebanon is not part of this ceasefire.
If this ceasefire between America and Iran breaks, then tension in Pakistan may increase, because Trump had claimed that the attack on Iran on Tuesday was postponed only on the request of Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire.
Speaking in a phone interview with PBS News, Trump said, "Lebanon was not included in this agreement." He cited Hezbollah as the reason for Lebanon's exclusion, saying, "Because of Hezbollah. They were not included in this agreement. That will be resolved. Everything is fine."
"Many people are sending out agreements, lists, and letters that have nothing to do with the USA/Iran negotiations. In many cases, they are complete frauds, swindlers, and worse. They will soon be exposed once our federal investigation is complete," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
Iran is supporting Hezbollah
Following Trump's statement, Iran has stated that it cannot leave Hezbollah alone in the conflict between Israel and Lebanon. It should be noted that when the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28th, killing Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Hezbollah also joined the fighting on Iran's side.
Strait of Hormuz closed again
Iran has blocked the passage of oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon, Fars News Agency reported.
Fars reports that two oil tankers were allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz this morning after a ceasefire between Iran and the US, but now the route has been closed again.
Will the ceasefire be broken?
According to Iran's Tasnim news agency, Israel has carried out attacks on Lebanon. Following these attacks, Iran has threatened to withdraw from the current ceasefire agreement if Israel continues to attack Lebanon.
Following this statement from Iran, the US official said that if the ceasefire is not followed, the US Army is also ready to fight.
