
News Topical, Digital Desk : Four people were killed and eight others injured in a shooting at a church in Michigan, USA. The suspected shooter, Thomas Jacob Sanford, was shot dead by police. Police believe Thomas intentionally opened fire at the church.
According to police, Thomas broke into the church door and began firing openly at the people present. Police arrived on the scene within 30 seconds of receiving the information and killed the shooter within 8 minutes.

Police have gathered information about the suspected attacker. According to the New York Times, Thomas graduated from a nearby school in 2004. He also served in the Marine Police between 2004 and 2008 under the alias Jake.

Russell M. Nelson, the leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Michigan, USA, had died. The following day, a large crowd gathered at the church to pay tribute to Nelson. However, at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Thomas drove his car into the church, bursting in, and opened fire indiscriminately.
