During a media interaction, Donald Trump stated that he would strike a deal with Netanyahu. He would also hold talks with Hamas and Arab countries to establish peace in the Middle East.
What did Trump say?
Speaking to Axios News, Trump said, “Everybody will come together to make a deal. The Arab countries are talking about it in a great way. Hamas will also join them. Hamas has great respect for the Arab countries. The Arab countries also want peace. Israel also wants peace and Bibi (Netanyahu) also wants peace.”
Netanyahu spoke at the UN
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently addressed the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), vowing to uproot Hamas and blockade Palestine.
Israeli PM Netanyahu is visiting the White House for the fourth time since Trump took office in January. Trump is also trying to end the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza. Trump recently warned Israel against annexing the West Bank.
