News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, during his visit to Mahoba , sharply targeted the opposition , especially former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav . He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made it clear that the slogan " I love Mohammed " will not be tolerated in the state . Strict action will be taken against those who attempt to spread anarchy and communal frenzy .

The minister, attacking Akhilesh Yadav, said that during the Muzaffarnagar riots, the then Chief Minister hosted rioters at his residence, which was extremely shameful. He sarcastically said that Akhilesh should stop dreaming of Mungerilal , as his government will never return.

Responding to the question about "I Love Mohammad , " the Agriculture Minister said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made it clear in Bareilly and Gorakhpur that "I Love Mohammad" will no longer be tolerated in the state and that strict action will be taken against anyone who attempts to spread anarchy . The Agriculture Minister added that strict action will be taken against those who incite communal frenzy and create anarchy .

The Agriculture Minister, taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav, said that when the Muzaffarnagar riots broke out , he sent his plane to the Chief Minister's residence to treat the rioters . It was such a shameful incident that the then Chief Minister was feasting with those who had killed dozens of people . That kind of behavior will no longer happen in Uttar Pradesh , and it will never return . He should stop dreaming like Mungeri Lal ; those times will never return .

Farmers should also buy fertilizers from private shops – Agriculture Minister

Arriving in Mahoba , the Agriculture Minister interacted with farmers and inspected the Kabrai Resource Cooperative Society, checking fertilizer distribution and stock registers. He dismissed reports of fertilizer shortages as completely baseless and stated that the state has sufficient fertilizer available. This year, many times more fertilizer has been sent to Mahoba than in previous years, and more supplies are expected in the coming days. He appealed to farmers not to rely solely on the societies but to also purchase fertilizer from private stores, as the same standard fertilizer is available there.

Production in the state has increased manifold – Agriculture Minister

The Agriculture Minister also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have pledged to make pulses and oilseeds production self-sufficient. To this end, free seed distribution was implemented under the Minikit scheme, resulting in a manifold increase in production in the state. He explained that during the Akhilesh Yadav government, pulse production was only 1.2 million metric tons, which has now increased to over 3.6 million metric tons. Similarly, oilseed production has also increased significantly. Shahi added that the central government has nearly doubled the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for pulses and oilseeds, greatly benefiting farmers, especially those in the Bundelkhand region.

Farmers are not worried about fertilizers – Agriculture Minister

The minister also questioned the media, saying it was unnecessarily portraying farmers as struggling for fertilizer . He claimed that during his visits to Mahoba and Hamirpur , he saw no lines or chaos for fertilizer. Shahi said the government was making every effort to provide convenience to farmers and that no farmer would face any difficulty in obtaining fertilizer.
