He was defrauded of ₹6 lakh in the name of credit points. According to reports, a Bombay High Court judge was cyber-defrauded of ₹6 lakh in the name of redeeming credit card points. Cyber ​​fraudsters obtained his credit card details and siphoned off ₹6 lakh from the judge's account. A case has been registered against an unknown individual at the Cuffe Parade police station.

It is being reported that a High Court judge fell victim to search engine listing fraud. The judge searched online for the customer care number of a credit card bank to redeem credit card points and became a victim of cyber fraud.

Cyber ​​fraudsters posing as bank representatives sent a link to the judge.

According to the information, when the judge called the number, the cyber fraudster, posing as a bank representative, sent the judge a link and forced him to download an app. He then had him enter his credit card details. As soon as he entered the details, the judge lost a total of ₹602,566 in four transactions.

The judge, who was duped, lodged a complaint at the Cuffe Parade police station.

After this, as soon as the judge realized that he had been cheated, he called the bank's official customer care number and got the credit card blocked and then lodged a complaint with the National Cyber ​​Helpline and later reached the Cuffe Parade Police Station.

Case registered under several sections on the complaint of the judge

The Cuffe Parade police have registered a case on the judge's complaint under sections 318(4) (cheating) and 319(2) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 66, 66(A) and 66(D) of the Information Technology Act.
