News Topical, Digital Desk : Deepika Padukone's demand for an eight-hour work shift after becoming a mother has been a topic of discussion for several months. It has caused considerable controversy, with some supporting Deepika while others opposing it. Kunal Kemmu has now joined the discussion.
Don't say you want to become a big superstar - Kunal
Speaking on a recent episode of Soha Ali Khan's podcast, Kunal Kemmu said, “Sometimes we say that now I want to work so much and spend so much time here. Then you quit your job. Then don't say that I want to become a big superstar. I want to work in 10 films a year. You choose what you want to do. Know that it will have its pros and cons and you have agreed to it.”
It is necessary to work hard
Kunal further said that you can't say, "I want to work less and earn more money" while you're working, because then you start to feel like you want to do something else. If you want to become a big superstar and work in multiple films a year, you have to accept the hard work it takes.
Ananya Pandey also expressed her opinion.
Meanwhile, Ananya Panday supported Deepika in an interview with Hollywood Report. Speaking about the 8-hour shifts, the actress said, “It's actually a phase in your life. It's said that women can't work after marriage and after giving birth, but you need an environment that supports it. It's not going to be like that forever.”
It's worth noting that Deepika lost several films due to this 8-hour shift. She was supposed to star opposite Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film "Spirit." However, according to reports, she left the project because the filmmakers disagreed with her eight-hour shift demands. She has also dropped out of Part 2 of Kalki 2898 AD.
