News Topical, Digital Desk : Churu police in Rajasthan have taken action against miscreants and detained five individuals. These miscreants frequently made lewd comments about female students attending college and coaching classes. On Monday (September 29), police raided a hookah bar near Lohia College and detained five individuals.

In fact, complaints from female students had been received for a long time. According to local residents, incidents of molestation were becoming common here. Consequently, the police took action against the hookah bar and detained five men. Afterward, all five men were seen hiding their faces.

Action under 'Operation Garima'

Police's Kalika Unit team in-charge Kaushalya Bhadu said that under Operation Garima, after identifying those who were continuously passing lewd comments on girl students coming and going near the city's schools, colleges and coaching institutes, four youths were detained by raiding a hookah bar operating near the city's Lohia College on Monday.

Kalika team in-charge Kaushalya Bhadu said that some girls passing by Lohia College had complained that some youths often come drunk on the way, pass lewd comments on them while going and do inappropriate things. In the same sequence, a raid was conducted on Monday on a hookah bar operating in a market near the college. 

Police action continues

Kotwali police were also present during this operation by the Kalika Unit team. The action caused a stir among cafe owners near the college. Police crackdowns against drug abuse are continuing across the district, and today, action was taken against hookah bars in the city. Due to the increasing drug abuse, incidents of molestation of women were also increasing in the city, so action was taken based on complaints received by the police.
