News Topical, Digital Desk : Surendra Singh, a 2005 batch IAS officer, has been appointed Secretary to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath . He previously served as the Chief Minister's Special Secretary. He rejoined Uttar Pradesh on October 6, 2025, after serving as Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for three years.
 
IAS officer Surendra Kumar Singh has previously held positions such as Commissioner of the Meerut Division. According to information, Surendra Singh was born on August 15, 1978, in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geology.

He has handled the responsibility of DM in these districts

According to reports, IAS Surendra Singh has served as District Magistrate in districts like Bhadohi, Balrampur, Firozabad, Muzaffarnagar, Pratapgarh, Unnao, Bareilly, Kanpur Nagar, and Varanasi. He is known for his quick results-producing abilities. This is why he was given this important responsibility immediately upon returning from deputation.
