News Topical, Digital Desk : A big update has come out in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. The next destination of Raja Raghuvanshi's wife Sonam will now be Shillong District Jail. Sonam will stay in this jail after police remand. If Sonam is convicted in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, she will stay in Shillong District Jail for life. Currently Sonam is in police custody. Preparations have begun to keep her in jail.

How many women prisoners will be there in the jail?

Sonam Raghuvanshi will be the second female prisoner in Shillong District Jail who will be lodged in Shillong District Jail in a murder case. A woman convicted in a murder case is already in this jail. There are a total of 496 prisoners in this jail, out of which only 19 are women. Sonam will be the 20th female prisoner in this jail.

Sonam will be under 24-hour surveillance

Sonam will be kept in the jail near the jail warden's office. There will be two senior undertrial female prisoners with her who will keep an eye on her. Sonam will be monitored 24 hours a day through CCTV cameras. This is being done so that Sonam does not take any wrong step. These preparations are being made keeping in mind her safety.

What facilities will Sonam get in jail?

Sonam will be allowed to watch TV and meet and talk to her family members as per the jail rules. Sonam will have to give the names of the people who will meet her to the jail administration. Sonam will get breakfast, lunch and dinner as per the jail rules. She will also have to do sewing and other works related to skill development along with other women prisoners in the jail.
