News Topical, Digital Desk : A very sensitive and worrying incident has come to light from a government hospital in Beed district, Maharashtra. An elderly, ailing woman who had come for treatment was subjected to inhumane treatment at the sonography center. This incident has raised serious questions about the working style of the hospital administration and staff
According to reports, the elderly woman was admitted to the third floor of the district hospital. Doctors had recommended a sonography for further evaluation. Since the hospital elevator was out of order, some social workers, demonstrating their humanity, carried the elderly woman in their arms down to the sonography center.
Sonography center closed prematurely
It was reported that the elderly woman had arrived outside the sonography center before 6 p.m. Despite this, the female employee there closed the center's door before the scheduled time. At that time, the elderly woman was lying on the floor, but the employee paid no attention to her condition and closed the center and left.
When the elderly woman's family members questioned this, the employee used abusive language against them. This behavior is considered extremely insensitive, despite the presence of a sick and helpless elderly woman. This incident has angered patients and their families who come to the hospital for treatment.
Questions raised on hospital administration
District hospital staff have previously been accused of punctuality and negligence. This incident has further strengthened those allegations. People say that such behavior towards patients in government hospitals is simply unacceptable.
District Surgeon Satishkumar Solanke stated that the matter is being investigated. Appropriate action will be taken against the nurse and the doctor involved for negligence in their duties. The administration has assured that strict action will be taken if found guilty.
