He was given a grand welcome at the airport with dance and music. After this, Indian classical music and dance performances were presented in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a hotel in Tianjin, China. These artists were Chinese citizens, who have been learning Indian classical music and dance for years.

Warm welcome at the hotel

Prime Minister Modi was warmly welcomed at the hotel in Tianjin. Indian people living in China met him and shook hands with him. The NRIs also raised slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram'. During this time, PM Modi was also seen talking to these people.

After reaching China, PM Modi said on social media platform X, “I have reached Tianjin, China. Looking forward to deliberations at the SCO Summit and meeting various world leaders.”

PM Modi reached China for the first time after 2018

PM Modi last visited China in 2018. This time he has reached Tianjin mainly to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. This summit will run from 31 August to 01 September, where he will meet President Xi Jinping and hold bilateral talks. During this time he will also meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
