
News Topical, Digital Desk : Vir Das is famous all over the world today. Along with acting, he is also an expert in comedy. The Emmy Award winning comedian has also worked in Bollywood. He played a small role in the film Namaste London with Katrina Kaif.
In a recent interview, Veer Das shared an anecdote related to the sets of Namaste London. He told that he was a junior artist in the film and he was ignored. Not only this, Veer said how Katrina was applauded even though she did not speak a single dialogue.

In the Moments of Silence podcast, Vir Das said, "I didn't know that films are dubbed. I was a theatre actor." The actor told that at that time Katrina Kaif had lost her voice and she was not speaking much. Further Vir said, “So the scene is that we are on the roof. I am the third groom. There is Rishi Kapoor, Nina Wadia and Katrina Kaif. On the other side, there is me and there was a woman playing my mother's role.”

Vir Das further said, "Rishi Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Nina Wadia had umbrellas over their heads but my mother and I were basking in the sun. We were the only two sweating in this beautiful Bollywood scene. Vipul Shah said, 'Katrina will do something in dubbing'. So the scene is such that Rishi Kapoor says something, I say something and Katrina Kaif". The director said, 'Cut, kaam hai. Shaandaar.' And I was just sitting there thinking, 'Am I drunk? She (Katrina) didn't say anything.'"
Vir Das praised Rishi Kapoor
Vir Das further said, "We kept doing this over and over again and my mother and I kept changing colours, baking. Finally, it was time for my close-up and they all got up and left because they didn't need to stay there. Rishi Kapoor is a nice person. He asked me, 'Son, what is your name?' And I said, 'Vir Das.' He extended his hand and said, 'Son, shake hands with me.'" Vir said that after this his life changed and an umbrella was also placed over his head.
