The Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) objected to the video and issued a warning. It was also reported that the actor was fined ₹500 for violating metro rules.

According to a report by NDTV, the Border 2 actor's team issued a statement saying, “We would like to clarify the news regarding Varun Dhawan and the Mumbai Metro. We want to clarify that Varun Dhawan has not been fined in any way. The previous post issued by the authority has been removed. We are grateful for their cooperation in clearing up this misunderstanding. Varun Dhawan fully respects the city's rules and the efforts of the Metro department. We are happy to inform you that no case is pending and we thank the media for sharing this accurate information.”
Varun is receiving a lot of praise for Border 2.
Speaking of Varun Dhawan's films, when the trailer and songs for his war drama "Border 2" were released, many questions were raised about his acting. However, he handled this trolling with ease. When the film was released in theaters on January 23rd, those same trolls were impressed by his performance and heaped praise on the actor.
Directed by Anurag Singh, "Border 2" stars Varun Dhawan as Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, who displayed his courage in the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War. He plays an officer in the 3rd Grenadiers Regiment of the Indian Army. "Border 2" is performing exceptionally well at the box office.
