The rain in the evening in Agra brought relief from humidity. Strong winds brought relief to the people struggling with heat in many districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain in eastern UP on Friday.
Relief rain in Agra
The monsoon showered its blessings on Agra city on Wednesday and continued to shower its blessings on Thursday as well. On Wednesday, it rained lightly and sometimes heavily throughout the night and continued till Thursday afternoon. This made the weather pleasant in the city. The city dwellers got relief due to the fall in temperature and reduction in humidity.
The weather department has predicted cloudy weather and rain in the next four days. Till now, the city was receiving rain in small pockets. On Wednesday, drizzle started around 1 pm. The weather became pleasant due to sometimes heavy and sometimes light rain. It rained intermittently throughout the night.
It was cloudy on Thursday morning and the sun did not appear. Around 8:30 in the morning, water was seen falling from the clouds like dew. After this, it started raining. It kept drizzling and raining till 12:30 in the afternoon, which made the weather pleasant. It was cloudy. At 5 in the evening, there was drizzling and rain once again.
From 8:30 am on Wednesday to 8:30 am on Thursday, 45 mm rainfall was recorded and after that 12 mm rainfall was recorded throughout the day. Thus, about 57 mm rainfall occurred on Wednesday and Thursday. Meteorologist Mohammad Danish said that from 9th to 12th August, it will remain cloudy and it may rain.
Roads submerged due to heavy rain in Badaun
The roads of the city got flooded due to heavy rains on Thursday for the second consecutive day in Badaun. The roads of Gandhi Ground, Chhah Sadak, Nai Sarai, Patiyali Sarai, Madhuban Colony, Shahbazpur were flooded. Due to good rains, the temperature has come down, which has brought relief from the heat. This rain has been very beneficial for agriculture. There is a possibility of rain in Badaun and surrounding districts on Friday.
It will be cloudy in Gorakhpur on Friday. There may be light rain at some places. There is also a forecast of cloudy weather and rain at some places in Deoria and Basti. The weather is expected to be clear in Bareilly on Friday.
Dr. Amarnath Mishra, Meteorologist of Acharya Narendra Dev Agriculture University in Ambedkar Nagar district said that there are chances of cloudy weather on Friday. There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in the next 24 hours. The eastern wind is expected to blow at normal speed.
According to senior scientist Dr. Upendranath Singh in Gonda, the weather is fluctuating. There will be movement of clouds in the sky on Friday. There are chances of rain, which will cause a drop in temperature. Humidity may increase if there is sunshine.
According to the weather department in Meerut, the weather is cloudy and there are chances of rain, the sun will shine. Apart from this, the humidity will be 83 percent.
Strong heat during the day and intermittent rain in the evening in Kanpur
The cyclone system along with monsoon clouds has brought drizzle and light rain in Kanpur. After heavy rain on Wednesday, the weather was very hot from Thursday morning but the weather changed as the evening approached. After four o'clock in the evening, there was light drizzle and in the late evening, there was heavy rain for half an hour in the city under intermittent rain.
According to meteorologists, this period of change in weather will continue for three to four days. The monsoon turf line has now moved out of Madhya Pradesh and entered the border of Uttar Pradesh. The monsoon line passing through Aligarh to Varanasi has forced the clouds to rain. This has started a period of intermittent rain.
Dark clouds loom over Varanasi
The abundant humidity and the activity of clouds in Varanasi have increased the hopes of the weather remaining pleasant. The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal is likely to reach here by Friday evening. It is expected that the coming two-three days will continue to give the pleasant feeling of monsoon with dark clouds and monsoon showers.
