Lucknow: Candidates will be allowed to enter the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Examination centre only after three-tier checking. The government has announced a penalty of Rs 1 crore and life imprisonment for those who commit irregularities in the examination. Arrangements have been made for checking with metal detectors.

The exam is in two shifts. The first shift will be from 10 am to 12 noon and then from 3 pm to 5 pm. Candidates are allowed to carry only pen, pencil, admit card and Aadhar card inside. More than 1500 police personnel have been deployed for the security of 81 centers.

Police personnel were present at their duty place from morning itself. Police personnel deployed outside the centre will keep an eye on the suspects. Candidates staying at railway, bus station and other places started reaching near the centre in the morning itself. Candidates started gathering outside the centre from morning itself. Biometric verification will be done before entering the examination centre. Details of the admit card will be matched with the Aadhar card. The exam has been organized in two shifts at 81 centers. 39,072 candidates will appear in the exam in each shift. The first shift of the exam is from 10 am. Its reporting time is from 8 am. The centers will be monitored with CCTV cameras. Its recording will be stored.

Arrangements for accommodation of candidates have been made at 29 places 

Arrangements for their stay have been made at 29 places so that the candidates do not face any inconvenience. Help desks have also been set up at railway, bus and metro stations.

Strict vigil on copy mafia, solver gang and suspects

The police administration is on alert since night for the exam. Preparations have been completed. Police Commissioner Amarendra Singh Sengar has given strict instructions in view of security. Joint Police Commissioner Law and Order Amit Verma inspected the examination centers and saw the security arrangements there.

STF, QRT and police personnel will be deployed outside the centres in plain clothes. They will keep an eye on the copy mafia and suspects. Police surveillance system has also been activated. Police is keeping a strict eye on internet media. Police will immediately arrest those who spread any kind of rumours.
