What was Trump's announcement?

The judge has temporarily blocked Donald Trump's proclamation. The proclamation issued on Wednesday marks a new attempt by the Trump administration to deprive America's oldest and richest college of a quarter of its student population, which accounts for the bulk of Harvard's research and scholarship.

Following this announcement, Harvard University moved federal court to stop Trump's decision and filed a legal challenge before a federal judge to stop the order.

What did Harvard say?

In its legal challenge, Harvard accused the White House of illegal retaliation for rejecting its demands. In an amended suit filed Thursday, Harvard said the president was attempting to circumvent a previous court order.
