News Topical, Digital Desk : A third-party audit will be conducted on the development of industrial areas managed by the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA). Drones will also be used to monitor the development of these areas. UPIDA will expedite land acquisition to ensure better connectivity for the upcoming industrial areas in Saharanpur and Badaun.

Thirty-four proposals were discussed at the UPCDA's 50th board meeting held at Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. Chaired by Alok Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, the meeting approved third-party audits to ensure the quality of industrial development. Maps for the Kampil Spinning Mill, Mau Aima, Bahadurganj, Salempur, and Barabanki industrial areas were also approved.

At the same time, instructions were given to the officials to amend the proposals for industrial areas to be established in Ballia, Hathras, Fatehpur, Barabanki and Chitrakoot and the layout map was approved.

It was decided at the meeting that civil, electrical, and solid waste management works in industrial areas would be regularly monitored using drones. The Additional Chief Secretary also directed policy amendments to increase the land bank and make the land allocation process more effective.

The Board decided that after 75 percent of the plots have been allotted, the remaining 25 percent will be awarded to investors through e-aulami. It was also decided that the allotment process will continue in parallel with development work in ongoing projects.

Additionally, they have been asked to organize camps within a month to ensure the resolution of investors' problems. The Additional Chief Secretary stated that the UPCDA's objective is not only to allocate land, but also to create a world-class industrial ecosystem in the state.
