News Topical, Digital Desk : The effects of the US-Israel-Iran war are being felt in Chhattisgarh as well. The steel industry here is particularly being severely affected. Steel produced in Chhattisgarh is exported to many countries around the world. Chhattisgarh ranks second in the country in steel production and export after Odisha, but due to the stoppage of exports due to the war, clouds of crisis are now looming over the steel industry as well. The situation is particularly worsening in the MSME sector. Exports are declining due to the disruption of the supply chain, resulting in a 50% reduction in production in most steel plants in the state. At the same time, there is also a crisis of employment for workers.

The Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry also believes that the crisis is significant, causing immense hardship to small and medium-sized industries. However, according to the Chamber of Commerce, industrialists should avoid panicking, as the situation will improve soon. On the other hand, experts believe that if this war continues for a long time and new export avenues are not opened, it will directly impact Chhattisgarh's steel sector, and the situation will continue to worsen. According to experts, reduced production means a crisis in employment. Furthermore, Chhattisgarh's economy will also be severely affected. There is also a possibility that many small-scale industries may close down.

Given the continuously worsening situation, the opposition is now also appealing to the government to help small and medium-sized industries. Congress says that if the MSME sector is not provided relief soon, not only will industries collapse, but unemployment will also increase, and this will also impact Chhattisgarh's development.

Small and medium-scale industries are already grappling with the gas crisis. Now, with the halt in steel and iron exports, production is steadily declining. Meanwhile, seaborne exports are becoming increasingly expensive. If the situation doesn't improve soon, many small-scale industries in Chhattisgarh will be on the verge of closure.
