Anupam Kher recently responded to those who called "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" propaganda at the International Film Festival 2026 in Delhi. He said,

'Cinema is also a business' - Anupam Kher

Anupam Kher also spoke openly about the impact cinema has on society. He said, "Can cinema change people? Yes, but it depends on each person sitting in the auditorium. Cinema is a business like any other. Many people run channels like businesses; they don't tell you a story. If I talk about myself, when I go to the cinema, I always bring some takeaway from there."

Anupam Kher also praised film festivals as a way to bring people together and educate them. Referring to his film, the actor said, "I would like to point out that 'Tanvi the Great' has been in theaters for 25 weeks. This is its silver jubilee. I believed that the film should be released in a limited number of theaters. Its re-release and completion of 25 weeks is a huge achievement."
