News Topical, Digital Desk : Thieves are carrying out crimes fearlessly in the city. Now, thieves have targeted a house in the Rajrooppur neighborhood. They broke into the house in broad daylight and stole jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees. The family members were stunned to learn of the theft. The police are investigating.

When he returned after leaving his sister, the lock of the house was broken.

It is reported that Vishal Srivastava, who lives in the Rajrooppur neighborhood of the Dhoomanganj police station area and works for a private company, said he had gone to drop off his sister at around 12 noon on Wednesday. When he returned around 4 pm, the lock on the house was broken.

Three lakh cash and jewellery worth 10 lakh stolen

Upon entering the house, they found that 3.5 lakh rupees in cash and jewelry worth approximately 10 lakh rupees kept in the cupboard were missing. This distraught Vishal and his family. Upon receiving the news, police from Dhumanganj police station arrived at the scene and investigated. A case was subsequently registered based on the victim's written complaint.

There was also a theft in Shivkuti in broad daylight.

CCTV footage has captured the suspected thieves, and the police are searching for them. Prior to this incident, a contractor's flat in Shivkuti was broken into in broad daylight and valuables worth lakhs were stolen. The police have yet to arrest anyone in that case.
