News Topical, Digital Desk : The most anticipated film Ramayan is being made in two parts, the first of which is scheduled to release in theatres on the occasion of Diwali this year. The film was announced last year with the first glimpse of Ramayana and now finally the teaser of the film has been launched in the US.
Ranbir had rejected Ramayana.
At the teaser launch event, Ranbir Kapoor made a major revelation, revealing that he had turned down Ramayan four years ago . At the teaser launch event, Ranbir revealed that he initially didn't believe he could play Lord Ram. The actor said at the event:
I remember when Namit (Malhotra) offered me this part about four years ago, my first reaction was 'no.' I felt I wasn't cut out for it, I wasn't good enough, and I wouldn't be able to do justice to the role
Because of this, Ranbir changed his decision.
Ranbir Kapoor revealed the reason behind his decision. His daughter, Raha Kapoor, was the reason behind it. Yes, Ranbir says that after the birth of his daughter, he realized he needed to change his lifestyle. According to the actor,
That fear quickly turned into gratitude, as I desperately needed opportunities like this in my life. I was at a time in my life where I needed to make changes to my life and lifestyle. I was becoming a father for the first time. I believe this beautiful combination of playing Lord Rama and becoming a father was the perfect turning point in my life.
Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram in the Nitesh Tiwari-directed Ramayan. The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra. The first part of the film will be released on Diwali this year, while the second part will be released on Diwali 2027.
