In his post, he wrote that the BJP is continuously raising commercial gas prices under the pretext of war because the black marketing and profiteering of BJP members also increase in proportion to the price increase. He said that the BJP government is a complete failure.
This is how the prices of commercial cylinders increased
February 1, 2026 – Rs 1740.50
March 1, 2026- Rs 1768.50
7 March 2026- Rs 1883.00
April 1, 2026 – Rs 2078.50
What did the government say on the increase in prices?
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on Wednesday clarified that only the prices of commercial LPG have been increased in the country, while there has been no change in the prices of domestic LPG.
Domestic cylinder price remains at Rs 913: Government
The statement said that the price of a 14.2-kilogram domestic cylinder remains unchanged at ₹913. Similarly, the subsidized price of LPG cylinders for the poor under the PMUY scheme remains unchanged at ₹613.
It further stated that at current prices, public sector oil marketing companies are losing ₹380 per cylinder. By the end of May, the total loss will reach approximately ₹40,484 crore.
The statement said that last year too, out of the total loss of Rs 60,000 crore, Rs 30,000 crore was borne by oil PSUs and Rs 30,000 crore by the Government of India to protect Indian citizens from high international prices of LPG.
