When she complained of stomach pains and was found to be pregnant, her stepfather's heinous act was exposed. An FIR was filed against him on Wednesday. The woman had remarried a few years ago.
She told the police that her daughter often had stomach pain. When several home remedies didn't help, she took her to the hospital on Tuesday. There, doctors performed an ultrasound, confirming her pregnancy. The teenager then recounted her stepfather's misdeeds. She said that whenever her mother went out to work in the fields or for household chores, his stepfather would rape her. If she protested, he would threaten to kill her and her mother.
Out of fear, she couldn't tell anyone the truth. Doctors said the teenager was four months pregnant. Her family and the police will now decide her future.
CO Pragati Chauhan said that on Wednesday, the woman reported the incident. She alleged that her step-husband had been abusing her in her absence. Based on her complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused under sections of POCSO, rape, and intimidation.
Superintendent of Police Sukirti Madhav said the accused has been absconding since the teenager's examination on Tuesday. Teams have been deployed to search for him.
