Actually, according to a CNN report, the person who was killed in Kiev was a senior Ukrainian intelligence officer. This incident has been confirmed by the spokesperson of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). He also said that investigation is going on in this case.

CCTV footage of this entire incident has also surfaced. In the video, a man can be seen coming out of his apartment in Holosievsky district. He has two bags with him, and he is walking towards a car with those bags. Meanwhile, a masked man comes to him and shoots him from close range. The man falls down due to the bullet injury.

Soon after this the accused fires again. Then he puts the gun in his pants and runs away to the other side of the road. There is a commotion in the area after this incident. The deceased has been identified as Colonel Ivan Voronich. He was reportedly in charge of the 1st Division of the 16th Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Investigation into the incident has begun

Ukrainian intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky said about the incident that the enemy assassin did his dirty work by firing five bullets from close range while he was leaving the apartment at 8 am today. Colonel Voronich had been fighting the enemy since 2014

Additionally, an SBU spokesperson said a criminal investigation into the case has been launched. He also said they and the national police are now working together to determine the circumstances and take the necessary steps to capture those responsible.
