News Topical,Digital Desk : After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Central Government has closed the Attari Wagah border. The Central Government has ordered all Pakistani citizens to leave India and go to Pakistan. This order has disturbed the sleep of two brides who had come to their in-laws' house in Jaisalmer from Sindh, Pakistan 14 days ago.
In fact, cousins Saleh Mohammad and Mushtaq Ali, residents of Devikot in Jaisalmer, had gone to meet their aunt in Ghotki district of Sindh province of Pakistan in July 2023. There Saleh Mohammad fell in love with Karam Khatoon and Mushtaq Ali with Sachul.
Saleh Mohammad K said that after the consent of both the families, both of them were married in August 2023. Karam Khatun and Sachul are also cousins. After marriage, both the brides could not get Indian visa. Meanwhile, both the grooms left their brides and returned to India in September 2023 and started waiting for the brides to come to their in-laws' house after getting the visa. After waiting for about one and a half years, the Indian government issued visas to both the brides in April 2025.
Both of them came to Jaisalmer on 13th April and started living with the family. 10 days later on 22nd April, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam . After this, the Indian government issued orders to Pakistani citizens to leave India. Saleh Mohammad's father Haji Abdullah says that Karam Khatoon's mother has died. Her father raised her and after marriage, her father also went to work in Arab. In such a situation, on whose trust should we send Karam Khatoon back to Pakistan.
They say that they cannot send both the brides to Pakistan alone. The bride Karam Khatoon says that our Nikah was done with our consent. With great difficulty, both of us sisters have reached Jaisalmer and now the government has issued an order to send us back to Pakistan. But we will die but will not go back to Pakistan.
