News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistan has been consistently praising US President Donald Trump for the past few months. Pakistan's Army Chief Asim Munir has even visited the US several times. Now, Pakistan is likely to reap the rewards of Munir's flattery.

In fact, Pakistan is expected to receive AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles from the United States. It should be noted that the closeness between Pakistan and the United States is steadily increasing these days.

America is being kind to Pakistan

Relations between Pakistan and the United States are steadily improving these days. In May, India and Pakistan engaged in a four-day military confrontation. India severely defeated Pakistan, and the Pakistani Director General of Police (DGMO) subsequently appealed to India to halt military action. Following this military confrontation, Pakistan's close ties with the United States have grown. Pakistan has praised the US President on several occasions.

America is preparing to give advanced missiles to Pakistan.

The US plans to supply Pakistan with AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles. These are considered highly advanced missiles capable of engaging enemy aircraft in air-to-air combat.

It is noteworthy that recently the US Defense Department found in an agreement that Pakistan is also included among the buyers of AMRAAM in a notified arms contract.

The value of the defense deal reached $2.51 billion.

According to a recent contract from the US Department of Defense, Raytheon Company has been awarded an additional $41.6 million for the C8 and D3 versions of these missiles. The total value of the deal is now estimated at $2.51 billion. The deal is expected to be completed by 2030.

While it's not yet clear how many missiles Pakistan will receive, experts believe these will significantly improve the Pakistani Air Force's F-16 fighter jets. Pakistan already has more than 500 older C3-class missiles, which were purchased along with the F-16s in 2010.

The danger may increase for India as well

This defense deal between Pakistan and the United States could prove challenging for India. It is believed that the AIM-120 missiles will be installed on F-16s. They can target Indian aircraft from 100 kilometers away. Pakistan used a similar missile to shoot down an Indian MiG-21 during the 2019 Balakot airstrike, during which Abhinandan was captured. It is now believed that the new missiles will further strengthen the Pakistani Air Force.
