News Topical, Digital Desk : In the Aurai police station area of ​​Bhadohi district, Uttar Pradesh, a man strangled his eight-month pregnant wife to death with a towel. This has caused widespread panic in the area. Police have registered a case and arrested the accused. 

According to the police, on the complaint of Babu Lal Bind, father of the deceased Kishun Devi (22), a resident of Dallupur village in the Aurai police station area, a case has been registered against her son-in-law Ajay Bind and he has been arrested.

Aurai police station's Inspector-in-Charge (SHO) Ashwini Kumar Tripathi said that Kishun Devi was married to Ajay Bind (25) of the Nevdhiya police station in Jaunpur district on May 25, 2025. Ajay lives in Mumbai and drives a taxi and is currently at home.

Eight-month pregnant wife strangled

Police said that Kishun Devi was eight months pregnant and was living at her father's house in Dallupur village for the last three months and her husband was staying at his in-laws' house for the last three days and was talking about taking her back to Jaunpur.

The SHO said that Kishun Devi refused to leave now, insisting that she would leave after the baby was born. He said that on Sunday morning, when the family members went to the fields to harvest crops, Ajay Bind seized the opportunity and strangled his wife Kishun Devi with a towel and shouted that she had been bitten by a snake.

Police arrested the accused husband

The family took Kishun to a hospital in Kachhwa, where doctors declared him dead and attributed the cause of death to strangulation. They said that after the father's information, the body was sent for post-mortem in the afternoon. A case has been registered, her husband has been arrested, and further legal action is being taken.
