News Topical, Digital Desk : Police have arrested a mining mafia accused of breaking a barrier and attempting to crush policemen in an encounter. A mining mafia man carrying a bounty of 25,000 rupees was shot in the leg. Linepar police arrested him near Gudaushala at 5 a.m. on Monday. A pistol, cartridges, and the tractor and trolley used in the incident were recovered from him.

On the night of April 3rd, near the Labor Colony Overbridge in Linepar, a tractor trolley carrying mined soil broke through a barrier and attempted to crush policemen. The policemen escaped by running away. The accused driver fled with the tractor. CCTV footage of the incident was broadcast on the internet. The footage identified the mining mafia as Mohanlal, a resident of Barelal Ki Thar Gudau, Linepar police station.
The SSP had announced a reward of Rs 25,000.
A reward of 25,000 rupees had been announced by the SSP. Two police teams were searching for him. SP City Ravi Shankar Prasad said that information was received at 5 am on Monday that the accused was trying to escape somewhere near Gudaushala.

A police team led by Station House Officer Ramit Arya cordoned off the area. Upon seeing the police, the man opened fire and attempted to flee. He was shot in the leg and fell. A search revealed a pistol, cartridges, a tractor and trolley. The injured man has been admitted to a government trauma center for treatment.
