Ajay Devgn officially announced last month that his Hindi version of "Drishyam 3" will be released in theaters on October 2, 2026. Following Ajay, director Jeethu Joseph, who directed Drishyam 3 in Malayalam, has now revealed when he will release this suspense-filled film in theaters.

When will Drishyam 3 release?

Attending a private event in Kochi, director Jeethu Joseph revealed the release date of the Malayalam film "Drishyam 3." According to an NDTV report, he said at the event, "Drishyam is a film that has deeply impacted people. It still impacts me. Without expecting too much, you can watch the film in theatres in the first week of April. We will announce the release date soon, until then, watch "Valathuvashathe Kallan," which hits theatres on January 30. I am confident it will be a good film."

The plan was to release the Drishyam franchise together.

The makers of "Drishyam 3" were originally planning to release the Hindi and Malayalam versions simultaneously. Both were supposed to be shot around the same time, but due to some differences, the makers decided to release them separately.

Speaking of the plot of Drishyam 3, the story continues, connecting the previous two episodes, as Georgekutty makes numerous attempts to protect his family after committing a crime out of compulsion. In addition to Mohanlal, this suspense thriller also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, and Asha Sharath. The makers initially announced that the climaxes in both the Hindi and Malayalam versions would be different.
