News Topical, Digital Desk : IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will release its September quarter results, or Q2 FY2025-26, on October 9, 2025. The company will interact with the media after the results announcement and hold a conference call with investors in the evening. TCS has performed strongly over the past few quarters. TCS's last buyback was completed in December 2023. CLSA estimates that this time, instead of issuing a special dividend in Q3 FY26, the company may opt for a tender offer-style buyback of approximately ₹20,000 crore.

Buyback pressure on TCS -

Hong Kong-based brokerage firm CLSA says that TCS may also conduct a buyback amid weak demand. TCS's last buyback was in December 2023. CLSA estimates that TCS may conduct a tender offer buyback of ₹20,000 crore in Q3FY26, rather than issuing a special dividend.

Of the 51 analysts covering TCS, 34 have recommended 'Buy', 12 have recommended 'Hold', and 5 have recommended 'Sell'. The buybacks by Infosys and TCS could accelerate the trend of buybacks in the IT sector, strengthening investor confidence.
