
News Topical, Digital Desk : After the Gen-Z protests in Nepal, Sushil Karki will now be made the interim PM. After this, a Facebook post of Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah has surfaced. He has also explained in his tweet why he did not agree to take the post of PM.
Balendra Shah wrote in the post, “My request to dear Gen-ji and all Nepalis is that the country is going through an unprecedented situation at this time. You are now stepping towards a golden future. Please do not panic at this time; be patient. Now the country is going to get an interim government, which will conduct new elections in the country. The job of this interim government is to conduct elections and give a new mandate to the country.”
Shah further wrote, “I fully support your proposal to hand over the leadership of this interim/electoral government to former Chief Justice Sushila Karki (Nepal New PM Sushila Karki). I wholeheartedly respect your understanding, wisdom and unity. This shows how mature you are.”
Why did you not accept the post of PM?
Balendra Shah has indirectly told in a Facebook post why he did not accept the post of PM. Actually Sushil Karki has become the interim Prime Minister of Nepal.
The job of this government will be to hold elections as soon as possible and maintain peace in the country till then. Balendra Shah wants to win the elections and come to power, this will keep his hold on the public strong.
