According to the Panchang, the Somvati Amavasya date of Bhadrapada month will start on Monday, September 02 at 05:21 am and will end on September 03 at 07:24 am. Thus, Somvati Amavasya will be celebrated on September 02.

• Since it falls on Monday , it is customary to do special worship of Lord Shiva on this day. On this day, donate rice, white clothes, white flowers, sugar and coconut etc. as per your faith. By doing this, you get the blessings of Lord Shiva. Along with this, you get happiness and peace.
• In Sanatan Dharma, donating special things during festivals and fasts is considered beneficial. Donate food, money and clothes to poor people on this day. This will help the seeker achieve success in all his works and spoiled works will be completed.
