PM Modi had reached China after seven years. After participating in the 25th SCO summit on Saturday, he held a bilateral meeting with Xi Jinping on Sunday. Both the leaders stressed on increasing trade and investment leaving behind the border dispute.
This meeting is considered an important step towards stabilizing global trade. The second day of the summit on Monday was the most important. The warmth between PM Modi, Jinping and Putin changed the atmosphere. Countries that were once rivals were now seen coming together after being troubled by Trump's policies.
PM Modi and Putin went together in the car
The most memorable moment of Monday was PM Modi and Putin travelling in the same car. Putin is known to be very strict about his security, but he also waited for PM Modi while sitting in the car. This step is considered a special message.
On the other hand, Xi Jinping and Putin criticized Western countries in their speeches. Xi Jinping criticized the countries showing bullying behaviour and Putin blamed Western countries for the Ukraine war.
Pakistan is isolated
Another interesting scene of this summit was when PM Modi and Putin were seen walking together, then Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stood at a corner and kept watching.
