News Topical, Digital Desk : Sanjay Raut News: Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray faction MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday (May 18) gave a statement on the delegation of leaders being sent abroad. He said that the constituent parties of the India Alliance should have boycotted the central government's move to send an all-party delegation to various countries to present India's resolve to deal with terrorism.

Speaking to reporters, Sanjay Raut claimed that the delegation would defend the "sins and crimes" committed by the government. "There was no need to send such a delegation, which is funded by the government. What will they do? We have ambassadors abroad. They are doing their job. The India Alliance (parties) should have boycotted it. They are falling into a trap laid by the government. You are going to defend the sins and crimes committed by the government, not the country," he said.

'Our party should have got a chance'
Sanjay Raut's comments also indicate that the parties involved in the India Alliance are not unanimous on this issue. Raut also criticized the government for nominating Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde to lead the delegation and said that his party should also have got a chance to lead a delegation due to its strength in the Lok Sabha.

'There was no need to send in a hurry'
Uddhav faction MP Raut questioned, "Did anyone ask Shiv Sena (Shiv Sena), Trinamool Congress (TMC), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)? On what basis are you saying that an all-party delegation is going. There was no need to send such a delegation in a hurry. The opposition has demanded a special session of Parliament on Operation Sindoor and Pahalgam attack. The government is not ready to discuss."
