The Walled City Lahore Authority (WCLA) informed that along with the Iron Temple, the Sikh-era Hammam and Maharaja Ranjit Singh's Athdara Pavilion have also been preserved.

WCLA spokesperson Tania Qureshi said the initiative aims to highlight the multi-layered cultural heritage of the Lahore Fort, which includes Hindu and Sikh religious sites, Mughal-era mosques and British-era structures.

He said that several modern techniques were used during the conservation process to preserve the original form. It is worth noting that last year, US-based Sikh researcher Dr. Tarunjit Singh Butalia identified nearly 100 monuments built during the Sikh rule (1799-1849) in the Lahore Fort.
