News Topical, Digital Desk : A case of harassment of a woman in broad daylight has come to light in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The accused was pressuring her into a relationship. When she refused, he began harassing her on the road and even slapped her. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
The incident occurred on December 22nd at around 3:20 p.m. CCTV footage shows the woman standing near her scooter when the accused arrived in a car, snatched her purse, and began searching her.
Woman dragged on the road
The accused began slapping the woman in public. He also attacked her head and back. Furthermore, he even tried to remove her clothes. He dragged her along the street and continued to beat her. Two or three people stood by and watched the spectacle, but no one tried to save her.
Police registered an FIR
The accused youth has been identified as Naveen Kumar. After publicly assaulting the woman, the accused fled in his car. According to the FIR filed with the police, the victim came in contact with Naveen through Instagram in 2024. Subsequently, the two began communicating through phone calls and messages. Meanwhile, Naveen continued to pressure the victim into a relationship, but she flatly refused.
The accused was taken into custody
On December 22nd, when the victim left her PG, Naveen arrived in his car and began severely beating her. Police have taken Naveen into custody and are questioning him. The case is under investigation.
