News Topical, Digital Desk : The central government has called an all-party meeting on Wednesday to address the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the growing energy crisis. Samajwadi Party MP from Ayodhya, Awadhesh Prasad, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, "Better late than never." He said it would have been better if the government had called an all-party meeting before the crisis arose, especially given the unnecessary interference from US President Donald Trump.

By targeting PM Modi ahead of the all-party meeting, the opposition has sent a message that they will not let the government go lightly. The all-party meeting has been convened under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. Discussions are likely to focus on the country's energy crisis and the Iran-Israel war.

Statement of Awadhesh Prasad

MP Awadhesh Prasad further said, "PM Modi should have considered the current situation in the country. Today, our foreign policy appears to be in the hands of US President Donald Trump. In fact, it could even be said that our country's foreign policy has been mortgaged to the United States. As a result, many problems are emerging today." The SP MP also said that better late than never. He hopes the government will take the opposition's suggestions in the right spirit and implement them.

Opposition continues to attack

The opposition is continuously targeting the Modi government over the ongoing conflict and energy crisis in West Asia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement on this issue in the Lok Sabha on Monday and in the Rajya Sabha the following day on Tuesday. The opposition alleges that India's foreign policy is under US pressure, which is why India is facing such a severe energy crisis today. The government failed to take timely action. Currently, all eyes are focused on the all-party meeting.
