News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang in Beijing. In this meeting, talks were held on the next phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The next phase of CPEC 2.0 includes the construction of 5 new corridors.
The two leaders agreed to further strengthen the strategic cooperative partnership. "During their warm and friendly meeting, the two leaders expressed satisfaction at the positive progress in Pakistan-China relations," Radio Pakistan said.

Shahbaz Sharif thanked China for supporting Pakistan's economic development and praised Xi Jinping's efforts. Sharif even said that Pakistan wants to emulate China's successes.
Sharif stressed the urgent need to reconstruct the Karakoram Highway and operationalise the Gwadar port. The two leaders signed MoUs and agreements between the two countries regarding cooperation in the development of CPEC 2.0, science and technology, IT, media, agriculture and other sectors.
