News Topical, Digital Desk : The weather in Uttar Pradesh has changed dramatically. On Wednesday morning, several districts in western Uttar Pradesh, especially Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Saharanpur, experienced thunderstorms and strong winds, accompanied by rain. This change in weather has brought relief from the scorching heat. The Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms, rain, and lightning in the state for the next few days. 

According to the Meteorological Department, scattered rain is expected in both divisions of Uttar Pradesh. A yellow alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms has been issued in several districts. Rainfall is expected in several areas of western Uttar Pradesh, including Saharanpur, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Mathura, Hathras, and Agra. Strong gusty winds with speeds of up to 30-40 km/h are also expected. 

Rain and thunderstorm in Noida-Ghaziabad

Dark clouds have been hovering over Noida and Ghaziabad , adjacent to Delhi, since this morning. Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms occurred in many areas, bringing relief from the scorching heat and lowering the maximum temperature. Meanwhile, clouds have also begun to move in Agra, Mathura, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Kanpur, and other districts.   

Partly cloudy skies in Lucknow

The effects of this change in weather will be felt in the capital, Lucknow. The Meteorological Department has indicated a respite from the heat here as well. The sky has been partly cloudy since morning. Clouds will remain throughout the day today, with scattered rain expected. The maximum temperature in Lucknow today will be 37 degrees Celsius, a drop of 5-6 degrees compared to the previous day. 

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and storms will continue in various districts of western and eastern Uttar Pradesh from April 29th to May 2nd. A warning has also been issued for dust storms with speeds of up to 40-50 km/h in some areas. Due to the rain, the maximum temperature in the state is expected to drop by 2-4 degrees over the next 2-3 days, and the minimum temperature will also decrease.
