New Delhi: The web series 'IC814: The Kandahar Hijack' based on the Kandahar plane hijack is now embroiled in a new legal controversy after the Hindu names of the terrorists. News agency ANI has approached the High Court against the makers of 'IC814: The Kandahar Hijack'. The news agency has demanded action against Netflix and the makers of the web series, accusing them of copyright and trademark violations in the court.

News agency lawyer said on Monday, nd aalleged that its footage has been used in the web series, but no one has taken permission from the agency for this.

The agency alleges that the ANI footage showing Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, General Pervez Musharraf and terrorist Masood Azhar during the Kandahar hijack was not licensed for use. The web makers have used the ANI footage without permission and without a license.

On the complaint of the news agency, the Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the OTT platform Netflix and the makers of the web series and sought a reply. The matter will be heard on Friday.
