News Topical, Digital Desk : The Moon has been the subject of research on everything from water to minerals. The Apollo 17 mission by the American space agency NASA revealed many facts about the Moon. However, after this mission, the hope of finding water on the Moon has vanished.

The Indian space agency, ISRO, discovered water molecules on the lunar surface with its 2008 mission, Chandrayaan-1. This mission gave the world new hope.

Artemis-II mission

India has played a key role in the global race to return to the Moon, with its IISc lab working on making lunar bricks in collaboration with ISRO.

This shift is the foundation of NASA's Artemis mission, which aims to advance human spaceflight beyond short missions to long-term presence around and on the Moon.

The next step is Artemis II, the first manned mission to travel beyond low-Earth orbit since Apollo. Beginning this week, NASA will launch the Orion spacecraft aboard a Space Launch System (SLS) rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Several days after being transported to Complex 39B and the four Artemis II astronauts, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen, went into quarantine.

A wet dress rehearsal revealed a leak in the rocket, pushing the scheduled launch window back to March.
