News Topical, Digital Desk : The death of a 23-year-old Indian student in Texas, USA, has shocked everyone. Rajalakshmi (Raji) Yarlagadda, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was a recent graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She was looking for a job in the US when her body was found in her apartment on November 7, 2025.

Raji was from Karamchedu village in Andhra Pradesh's Bapatla district and had gone to the United States with the dream of helping her farmer parents. Her cousin, Chaitanya YVK, said Raji had been suffering from a severe cough and chest pain for the past two or three days. Her alarm went off on the morning of November 7th, but she didn't wake up. Friends later discovered she had passed away in her sleep.

Efforts are being made to find out the cause of death

It is noteworthy that a medical examination of Raji's body is currently underway in the United States. A team of doctors is working to determine the exact cause. According to Chaitanya, Raji lived alone and, despite her illness, did not disclose much to anyone. Her sudden death has come as a surprise to everyone. The family hopes the investigation will reveal the truth.

Raji completed her studies in America and intensified her efforts to find a job. She was her parents' only hope. They made a living by farming and raising livestock on a small piece of land in the village. Raji's dream was to find a good job and help her parents financially. But that dream has now been shattered.

Appeal for help on Go Fund Me

Chaitanya has started a fundraiser on GoFundMe from Denton, Texas, to help Raji's family. The appeal states that Raji's family is tied to a small piece of land in the village. Their livelihood is based on crops and animals. Raji was the youngest child and brought hope for the future. Her death has left the family devastated and financially distressed.

The fund will cover funeral expenses, transportation of the body to India, repayment of education loans, and some support for the parents. Chaitanya said in the appeal, "Raji's heart was full of hope. She wanted to build a better tomorrow for her parents. Now the family needs our help." This campaign is an attempt to ease the family's hardships.
