News Topical, Digital Desk : The recently inaugurated Platoon Bridge in Mirzapur has been damaged within just 15 days, causing concern among locals and devotees. The bridge connects Harsinghpur and Vindhyachal Dham, and a large number of pilgrims travel through it for darshan. Despite the bridge's damage, people are forced to cross it, risking their lives, raising the possibility of a major accident.
It is reported that this bridge was inaugurated only about 15 days ago by MLA Ratnakar Mishra. The bridge's deterioration in such a short time raises questions about the quality of the construction work. Locals say this is the result of corruption and failure to adhere to construction standards.
MLA Ratnakar Mishra has expressed strong displeasure over this matter. He reprimanded the concerned department, saying that such negligence is tarnishing the image of the government and himself. He has instructed officials to immediately repair or rebuild the bridge. He also stated that the Executive Engineer (EXEN) has been issued a strict warning in this matter.
The department is explaining that the rising water level is preventing the pipes from being inserted, making it difficult to properly install the bridge. However, people are not satisfied with this argument.
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has targeted the BJP government over this issue and questioned the quality of development work. In response, the MLA said that previous governments also failed to provide a permanent solution during their tenure. Currently, a video of the damaged bridge is rapidly going viral on social media, increasing pressure on the administration to take immediate action.
